The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) gave their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 playoffs qualification scenario another push with a dominant victory over the Gujarat Titans (GT) on Saturday. Securing their 3rd consecutive victory of the campaign, Far du Plessis & Co. jumped up to the 7th spot in the points table, with 4 wins in 11 matches. RCB were all but out of the playoffs race about 3 matches ago, but they won all of their games since then and also saw a few other results to go in their favour to jump back into the battle for a top 4 finish. With 3 games in the league campaign yet to go, there remain slender chances for Virat Kohli's side to go through.
How RCB Can Qualify For IPL 2024 Playoffs:
Condition 1: RCB have to, under all circumstances, win all of their remaining three games of the league stage. With three wins in rest of the three matches, the Bengaluru side would have a total of 7 wins and 14 points to their name. RCB, at present, have a Net Run Rate of -0.049 which would likely become positive by the time the league stage ends.
Condition 2: If RCB get the three remaining wins, they would also hope that one of Sunrisers Hyderabad or Lucknow Super Giants do not get more than one win in their remaining league campaign. Both teams have 12 points from 10 games at the moment.

Condition 3: That isn't enough. RCB would also keep their fingers crossed, hoping that Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals, both on 10 points at the moment, should not get more than two wins.
Condition 4: Punjab Kings, who are also in the fray for a top 4 finish, are sitting on eight points from 10 games. They should also not win all of their remaining 4 games.
A single loss in the remaining three games would be enough for RCB's campaign to derail. While winning the rest of the matches in mandatory for them, the Royal Challengers would also benefit if they win those games with a hefty margin, hence boosting their NRR.
